Mr, Donaldson submitted the following order, viz:
Ordered, That Adam Miller and William Johnson
be paid $2 per day for forty days services for clean-
ing State House Rotunda and Rotunda to the Annex,
the same as has been done during the session.
Which was read and referred to the Committee on
Claims.
Mr. Brashears submitted the following order, viz:
Ordered, That the Chairman of the Committee on
Claims issue his certificate to Frank Green, for the
sum of two hundred and twenty-five dollars, for ser-
vices in connection with the Post office of the House
of Delegates.
Which was read and referred to the Committee on
Claims.
Mr. Fitzgerald submitted the following order, viz :
Ordered, That the Clerk to the Committee on Ways
and Means be compensated for his services to that
Committee at the same late of pay as is paid the Read-
ing Clerk, and that the Chairman of the Committee
on Claims is hereby ordered to draw his warrant in
payment of same.
Which was read and referred to the Committee on
Ways and Means.
On motion of Mr. Ellegood, it was
Ordered, That all claims presented to this House
for expenditures of money shall be referred to the
Committee on Claims before being acted on by the
House.
The Secretary of the Senate appeared and delivered
the following message:
BY THE SENATE.
March 30th, 1892.
Gentlemen of the House of Delegates :
We have received your message notifying us that
your Honorable Body has refused to concur in the
Senate amendment to House Bill No. 8, providing for
the destruction of fruit trees infected with the Yellows,
and asking the Senate to recede from its amendment
exempting Kent county from the provisions of said
bill.
