HOUSE JOINT RESOLUTION.
Mr. Fox submitted a Joint Resolution, requesting
and directing the Senators and Representatives of the
State of Maryland in the Congress of the United States,
to use their best efforts to secure the passage of a bill
having for its object the transfer of the Revenue Ma-
rine Service from the Treasury Department to the
Navy Department of the United States.
Which was read a first time, and referred to the
Committee on Federal Relations.
The Secretary of the Senate appeared and delivered
the following message:
BY THE SENATE,
January 26th, 1892.
Gentlemen of the House of Delegates :
We have leceived your message proposing the ap-
pointment of a Joint Committee of five, three on the
part of the House and two on the part of the Senate,
to meet and confer with the County Commissioners
from the several counties of this State, on Thursday,
January 28th, and we concur therein.
We have appointed upon the part of the Senate,
Messrs. Hepbron and Waters.
