On motion of Mr. Sams, it was
Ordered, That when the House adjourns to-night
it stands adjourned until 10.30 A. M. to-morrow, and
then when it adjourns it stands adjourned to meet at
4 P. M., and shall continue its session until 6 P. M.,
and when it then adjourns it stands adjourned until
8 o'clock, and that the sessions of 4 o clock and night
sessions shall be for the purpose of considering
general and local bills which will create no discussion,
and that three-minute speeches will only be allowed
at the afternoon and night sessions.
Mr. O'Conor submitted the following order, viz:
Ordered, That David Jewell be allowed two dollars
and fifty cents per diem, for keeping rooms of En-
grossing Room cleanly and in good order.
Which was read, and referred to the Committee on
Claims.
Mr. Smith, of Dorchester, submitted the following
order, viz:
Ordered, That the Committee on Claims be directed
to pay the Chairman of the Committee on Public
Buildings fifty-nine dollars, for traveling expenses in
visiting the Public Institutions of the State.
