Also, amend title of Act by adding thereto the fol-
lowing :
"And to authorize said corporation to issue its
stock and bonds and to endorse or guarantee the
stocks or bonds of other companies, and to purchase
other railways or the stocks or bonds thereof."
Also, amend by adding a new section, No. 2, at
close of the bill, as follows :
"Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That the said
Baltimore Union Passenger Railway Company, its
successors or assigns, are hereby empowered to en-
dorse or guarantee the bonds or other evidences of
indebtedness of other passenger railway companies,
and to purchase such other railways, or to subscribe
or purchase the stock, bonds or other evidences of
debt of any company which may own or operate a
passenger railroad
Amend by changing section 2 to section 3.
Also, amend by making section 2 section 3.
Also, amend by striking out all words "com-
panies," in line 16 of section 1, down to and includ-
ing the word "prescribe," in line 19.
Which were severally read and adopted.
Said bill, as amended, was then read a second time.

Mr. Grove, of Cecil, from Select Committee, re-
ported favorably,
Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal section 412,
Article 8, of the Code of Public Local Laws, title
"Cecil County," sub-title "Sales of Spirituous or
Fermented Liquors," as enacted by chapter 474, of
the Acts of 1890, and to re-enact the same with amend-
ments.
Which was read a second time.
Mr. Schlaffer, from Select Committee, reported
favorably,
House bill entitled an Act to repeal and re-enact
with amendments section 37, chapter 597, passed at
January Session, 1890, entitled an Act to confer addi-
tional jurisdiction upon Justices of the Peace for Bal-
timore county.
