Which was read a first time.
On motion of Mr. Bryan,
Said bill was recommitted to the Committee on the
Chesapeake Bay and its Tributaries.
Mr. Hill, acting Chairman of the Committee on Cor-
porations, reported favorably,
Senate bill entitled an Act to incorporate the Cam-
bridge Light and Power Company.
Which was read a second time.
Mr. Berret, from the Committee on Ways and Means,
reported favorably,
House bill entitled an Act to refund to Licensed
Measurers of Oysters in the city of Baltimore, to
license fees paid by them to the Clerk of the Court of
Common Pleas of Baltimore city, for 1888, 1889, 1890,
1891 and 1892.
Which was read a second time, and ordered to be
engrossed for a third reading.
ORDER OF THE DAY.
The House, at 2 P. M., considered the Order of the
Day, being the motion to substitute,
House bill entitled an Act to add new sections to
Article 23, of the Code of Public General Laws, title
"Corporations," sub-title ''Telegraph Companies," to
some in after section 232, and to be designated "Sec-
tions 232 A, 232 B, 232 C, 232 D, 232 E," to regulate
the rental and use of telephones in the cities, towns
and villages in the State of Maryland,
