pointment of a Joint Committee to wait upon the
Hon. Charier H. Gibson and inform him of his elec-
tion as Senator in the Congress of the United States,
and concur therein.
We have appointed on the part of the Senate, Messrs.
Wirt and Bennett.

five members on the part of the House, and three
members on the part of the Senate, to visit the Legis-
lature of Virginia and confer with it in relation to
proper legislation for the Potomac River ard Poco-
moke River and Sound, and concur therein,
We have named on the part of the Senate, Messrs.
Waters, Wilkinson and Hayes.
