Mr. Berret, from the Committee on Ways and
Means, reported favorably,
House bill entitled an Act appropriating a sum of
money to refund to E. Calvin Williams, administrator
pendente lite of Mary A, Conine, deceased, late of
Baltimore city, erroneously paid by him into the
State Treasury as a tax on commissions, in pursuance
of Article 81, section 97, of the Code of Public Gen-
eral Laws.
Also, favorably,
House bill entitled an Act to authorize the State
Treasurer to repair the Treasury building, and the
vault thereof, and to purchase a safe for the use of the
Treasurer's office.
Also, favorably,
House bill entitled an Act to appropriate the sum
of $2,000 to erect a monument over the grave of
Francis Scott Key, in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Fred-
erick city, Maryland.
Also, favorably,
House bill entitled an Act to authorize and em-
power the Board of Public Works to sell the Eastern
Hay Scales property, in the city of Baltimore, and
purchase a more eligible site in said city for the same.
Also, favorably,
House bill entitled an Act to repeal sections 34 A,
and 34 B, of Article 56, of the Code of Public General
Laws of the State of Maryland, title "Licenses," as
enacted at the January Session of 1890, chapter 159,
and to re-enact the same with amendments.
Also, favorably,
House bill entitled an Act for the relief of the
Hagerst own Seminary, and to appropriate money for
same, and to provide for the education and board of
three scholars from the counties of Garrett, Allegany,
Washington, Frederick and Montgomery.
Which were severally read a second time, and or-
dered engrossed for a third reading.

House bill entitled an Act to repeal and re-enact
section 9, of Article 83, of the Code of Public General
Laws relating to revenue and taxes,
