JOINT RESOLUTIONS.


NO. 18.


Joint resolution requesting the Senators and Representa-


tives in Congress from the State of Maryland to use all


proper endeavors to have the authorities of the United States


deed and convey to the State of Maryland the Naval Hospi-


tal Building located on the Government Farm adjoining the


Naval Academy grounds near Annapolis.


WHEREAS, the United States Naval Authorities have erected

Preamble

on the " Government Farm " adjoining the Naval Academy


grounds at Annapolis a hospital building ; which building


has not been used for any purpose for a number of years,


is consequently falling to decay ; and


WHEREAS, the State of Maryland is desirous of acquiring

a similar building for hospital purposes ; therefore,


Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That the

Naval

Senators and Representatives in Congress from the State of

Hospital

Maryland, be, and they are hereby requested to use all

Building

proper efforts to have the United States authorities grant and


convey to the State of Maryland, the Naval Hospital Build-


ing on the "Government Farm" adjoining the Naval


Academy at Annapolis, with such quantity of land for the


grounds necessary to the proper conveniences of such


hospital.


Resolved, That a copy of these resolutions be immediately
