958 JOINT RESOLUTIONS.

hundred and ninety-two and held by the Treasurer for the
use of the sinking fund for said loan, in the presence of
Thomas G. Hayes, committee on the part of the Senate
and James G. Berrett and Philip D. Laird committe on the
part of the House of Delegates, and their certificate in
writing to that effect shall be a full discharge of said
Treasurer; and that the debt of the State shall be credited
with the amount of said bonds so destroyed and reduced to
the extent thereof.

WHEREAS, conflicts frequently occur between the citizens

the interests of both States, and tending to impair the


friendly relations which should exist between neighboring


commonwealths; and


WHEREAS, citizens of Maryland have been recently deprived


by the authorities of Virginia, of their ancient rights of
