for such road, or to his, her or its agent or attorney, or left

that in case the damages allowed by said examiners to any

the Circuit Court for said county upon the appeal from the


decision of said county commissioners, or in case the amount


of benefits assessed against any person or persons or body

Court of Baltimore County upon appeal ; from the county


commissioners, then the parties petitioning for said road


shall pay pro rata according to their assessments, the deficit


caused by said increase of damages or decrease of said ben-


efits, the same to be collected the same as are assessments


for benefits as hereinbefore provided ; and provided further,


that no work shall be done on any road so notified and con-


firmed until all the assessments for the construction of said


road shall have been paid, or in the event of a reduction of


any assessment for benefits or increase of any damages.

SEC. 204. And be it enacted, That in all proceedings now
