LAWS OF MARYLAND.


of Baltimore ; each justice so selected shall keep his office


at the station house for which he was appointed aud shall


attend at such station house from 6 o'clock, a. m., until 9


o'clock, a. m., in every day in the week except Sunday, and


from 3 o'clock, p. m., until 6 o'clock, p. m., in every day in


the week except Sunday, and on every Sunday in each year


shall attend at the station house for which he was appointed


from 6 o'clock, a. m., until 7 o'clock, a. m., and from 3


o'clock, p. m., until 4 o'clock, p. m., and at each of said


respective sittings, hereinbefore provided for, shall perform


all the duties which he is required by law to perform. Each


of said justices of the peace so selected as aforesaid to sit


at a station house in the city of Baltimore shall also attend


at his said station house at such other hours and times as


he may be required so to do by the board of police commis-


sioners of the city of Baltimore or by the State's attorney


for Baltimore City. The said respective justices of the


peace so selected to sit at any station house, in the city of


Baltimore, shall transact no other business at any such


station house except the business required of them by the


seven succeeding sections to be by them respectively per-


formed at such station house, and when such justices of the


peace have been assigned to sit at any station house, the


justice of the peace designated by any such police justice


to sit in his stead when absent shall be approved by the


board of police commissioners of Baltimore City.

Effective

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect


from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 652.


AN ACT to repeal section 113 of article 18 of the Code of


Public Local Laws of Maryland, entitled "Queen Anne's


County," sub-title " Church Hill," and to re-enact the


same with amendments.


SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of


Maryland, That section 113 of article 18 of the Code of

Amend-

Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Queen Anne's

ment

County," sub-title "Church Hill," be and the same is


hereby repealed and re-enacted to read as follows :


113. The Commissioners of Church Hill are hereby


empowered to pass all laws and ordinances necessary for


grading, regulating, paving and repairing the footways in
