LAWS OF MARYLAND.


eighteen hundred and ninety, be and the same is hereby


repealed and re-enacted with amendment so as to read as


follows :


155. It shall not be lawful for any person in the fish

spawning seasou, that is to say, between the first day of

fish in the

March, and the first day of May in any year, to put, place,

erect, construct or use in waters of Severn River, at any


point a'bove Bulling's Cove on the one side and Poplar


Spring on the other side of said river, or in the waters of


South River, or in any of the creeks, coves, or tributaries


of the Severn River, or South River, above points where


any creek, cove or tributary is iu channel of a less depth


than three feet, or anywhere in Severn Rnn of Severn River,


and set-net, fish-basket, fish-pot, fish-trap, set-line, weir,


pound net-fyke, seine or drag-net, or any other instrument


or contrivance whatsoever, now known or used in the catch-


ing or destroying offish, or which may hereafter be invented


for that purpose, or to take, catch, capture or destroy any


fish from, by or with the same, or any of the same, except


with hook and line.


SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect

AN ACT to appropriate a sum of money to pay to the


Treasurer of the State Board of Education the amount of


sundry bills paid by him for repairs to the State Normal


School building.


SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-


land, That the Comptroller of the Treasury be and he is

Keilholtz & Crisp the sum of fifty dollars and eighty-six


cents, to Miller D. Melter & Son the sum of forty -two dollars


and sixty-six cents, to C. I. Stewart & Sons the sum of
