CHAPTER 580.
|
|
|
|
|
AN ACT to add a new section to article 13 of the Code of
|
|
|
|
|
Public Local Laws, title "Harford County," sub-title
|
|
|
|
|
"Havre de Grace," relating to excavating for moulding
|
|
|
|
|
sand or otherwise, to come in after section 169 and to be
|
|
|
|
|
called section 169 A, arid to repeal all laws and parts of
|
|
|
|
|
laws inconsistent therewith.
|
|
|
|
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
|
|
|
|

Maryland, That the following new section be and the same
|
|
|

added
|
is hereby added to article 13 of the Code of Public Local
|
|
|
|
|
Laws, title "Harford County," sub-title " Havre de Grace,"
|
|
|
|
|
to come after section 169 and to be known as section 169 A.
|
|
|
|
|
169 A. It shall not be lawful for any person or persons
|
|
|
|
|
after the passage of this act, without the consent of the
|
|
|
|

mayor and city council of Havre de Grace, to excavate any

lot or lots in said city of Havre de Grace, for the purpose of
|
|
|
|
|
obtaining moulding sand or otherwise, to a greater depth

than two feet unless such excavation is for the real and
|
|
|
|
|
bona fide purpose of digging a foundation or foundations for
|
|
|
|
|
a building or buildings proposed to be erected, and for such
|
|
|
|
|
excavation as may be necessary for the use of such build-
|
|
|
|
|
ings now erected or hereafter to be erected, and any person
|
|
|
|
|
violating this section shall be subject to a penalty of not
|
|
|
|
|
less than fifty dollars nor more than one hundred dollars
|
|
|
|
|
for every day during which such excavation shall be made
|
|
|
|
|
or be in existence, to be recovered as other fines are recovered.
|
|
|
|
|
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this act shall take
|
|
|
|

of acts inconsistent herewith be and the same is hereby

expressly repealed.

CHAPTER 581.

|
AN ACT authorizing the State treasurer to repair the
|
|
|
|
|
treasury building and the vault thereof and to purchase
|
|
|
|
|
a safe for the use of the treasurer's office.
|
|
|
|
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
|
|
|
|
|
Maryland, That the treasurer of this State be and he is
|
|
|
|
