CHAPTER 549.

AN ACT to authorize the Board of Police Commissioners

of Baltimore City to employ an additional clerical officer

|

to be known as the assistant to the secretary of the board.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted, by the General Assembly of
|
|
|
|
Maryland, That the Board of Police Commissioners of Bal-
|
|
|
|
timore City, be and they are hereby authorized to employ
|

an additional officer to be known as assistant to the secretary
|

the Home for Mothers and Infants of Baltimore City.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of

Maryland, That the sum of five hundred dollars a year, for
|

eighteen hundred and ninety -three, be and the same is hereby

appropriated to the Home for Mothers and Infants of Bal-

treasurer of the State be and he is hereby directed on war-
|

|
|
rant of the comptroller to pay to the treasurer of said home
|
|
|
|
the sum of five hundred dollars for each of the years aforesaid.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
