ing twenty-five thousand dollars per annum, and to the

Boy's Home Society of Baltimore City not exceeding the

sum of five thousand dollars annually ; and to the Mary
|
|
|
|
land Industrial School for girls, not exceeding three thou-
|
|
|
|
sand dollars per annum ; and to the Saint Vincent of Paul's
|
|
|
|
Orphan Asylum of Baltimore City any sum now due said
|
|
|
|
Institution for the care of destitute or other minors com-
|
|
|
|
mitted by courts or police magistrates to its care, and here-
|
|
|
|
after not exceeding the sum of two thousand dollars per
|
|
|
|
annum. And the said mayor and city council are further
|
|
|
|
authorized and empowered to appropriate for repairs, per-
|
|
|
|
manent improvements and additions to the buildings now
|
|
|
|
occupied and used by the House of Refuge and the Maryland
|
|
|
|
Industrial School for girls, such additional sum or sums of
|
|
|
|
money as in their judgment shall from time to time be
|
|
|
|
required for these purposes.
|
|
|
|
SEC. 8. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
|
|
|
Effective.
|
from the date of its passage.
|

CHAPTER 532.
|

AN ACT to repeal section two of article seventy-four of
|
|
|
|
the Public General Laws, title "Pilots," and re-enact the
|
|
|
|
same with amendments.
|
|
|
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
|
|
|
|
Maryland, That section two of article seventy-four of the
|
|
|
Repealed.
|
Public General Laws, title "Pilots" be and the same is
|
|
|
|
hereby repealed and re-enacted to read as follows :
|
|
|
|
SEC. 2. That the Board of Examiners of Maryland Pilots
|
|
|
Board of
|
shall constitute three members, and said board shall be
|
|
|

composed of the following: The president of the Board of
|
|
|
of
Maryland
|
Trade, the president of the Corn and Flour Exchange and
|
|
|
Pilots.
|
the president of the Pilot Association, and that the pilots
|
|
|
|
shall pay the said board one thousand dollars a year to
|
|
|
|
defray the expenses of said board.
