CHAPTER 520.


AN ACT to change the mode of appointing the treasurer of


Garrett County by making him elective by the people


instead of being appointed by the county commissioners


and to repeal and re-enact section forty-two of article


twelve of the Code of Public Local Laws of Garrett


County, sub-title "County Treasurer."


SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of


Maryland, That section forty-two of article twelve of the

" County Treasurer," be and the same is hereby repealed


and re-enacted so as to stand and read as follows :


42. The County Commissioners of Garrett County on the
