judges shall be satisfied of his right to vote the said judges


or one of them, shall deliver to him a ballot such as is pre-


scribed by the provisions of this article, and shall have


been delivered to them by the Democratic district executive


committee of the district in which such person so offered


to vote, whereupon the voter shall forthwith and without


leaving the enclosed space retire alone to one of the voting


shelves or compartments and shall prepare his ballot, and


then fold it as when delivered to him for delivery to the


judges of election or one of them, and shall keep the same


so folded until he has voted, he shall vote before he leaves


the enclosed space, and shall hand the same to the judges


or one of them with their official endorsement uppermost,


he shall mark and deliver his ballot without undue delay to


the judges or one of them and shall quit said enclosed space


as soon as he has voted, no voter shall be allowed to occupy


a voting shelf compartment for more than five minutes in


case all such shelves or compartments are in use and other


voters are waiting to occupy the same ; and the remaining


provisions of sections one hundred and fifty- five, one hun-


dred and fifty-six, one hundred and fifty-seven, and one


hundred and fifty -eight of article fifty- three of the Code of


Public General Laws of Maryland, title, "Elections," are


hereby incorporated herein and made part of this article,


and it is furthermore provided that said voting shelves or


compartments shall be furnished with curtains so arranged


as effectually to conceal the person of the voter from the


back of his head to the middle of his waist while in the act


of preparing his ballot for voting.
