CHAPTER 474.


AN ACT to repeal sections 233, 234, 235, 236, 237, 238,


239 and 240 of article 18 of the Code of Public Local


Laws, title " Queen Anne's County," sub-title " Stevens-


ville," relating to the incorporation of the town of


Stevensville, Queen Anne's County.


SECTION 1. Se it enacted by the General Assembly of


Maryland, That sections 2J3, 234, 235, 236, 237, 238, 239
and 240, of article 18 of the Code of Public Local Laws,

Repealed.

title "Queen Anne's County," sub-title "Stevensville,"


relating to the incorporation of the town of Stevensville,


Queen Anne's County, be and the same are hereby repealed.


SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect


from the date of its passage.

Effective.

Approved April 7th, 1892.


CHAPTER 475.


AN ACT to give the sanction of the Legislature to the gifts,


devises and bequests to divers charitable and religious


institutions contained in the * last will and testament of


Edward Power, late of Baltimore County, deceased, and


to prevent any failure of the testamentary purposes of the


said Edward Power, by reason of uncertainty or misde-


scription as to any of the said beneficiaries.


WHEREAS Edward Power, late of Baltimore County, by


his last will and testament, duly admitted to probate and


now of record in the county aforesaid, did devise and

bequeath a certain residuary interest in a certain portion of


his property and estate unto the Sisters of Mercy at Mt.


Washington in Baltimore County, the trustees of the


Roman Catholic Asylum for Widows, in the city of Balti-


more. The House of the Good Shepherd, in the city of


Baltimore, St. Vincent's De Paul Benevolent Association,


on Front street, in the city of Baltimore, St. Mary's Indus-


trial School for Boys of the city of Baltimore, and the Little


Sisters of the Poor in the city of Baltimore.


AND WHEREAS, it has been suggested that according to


the true intent and meaning of article thirty-eight, of the

Preamble.

Bill of Rights, the said gifts, devises or bequests required


the sanction of the Legislature.
