AN ACT to amend the charter of the Central Railway


Company.


WHEREAS, the Central Railway Company, a corporation

vested with certain rights, franchises and privileges hereto-


fore granted to it by ordinances of the mayor and city


council of Baltimore.


AND WHEREAS, said company is about to rebuild, extend

should borrow money for the purpose, and issue bonds and


pledge its property and franchises to secure the payment of


the same therefore,


SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of


Maryland, That said railway company shall have and exer-


cise all the rights, franchises and privileges heretofore, or


which may hereafter be, granted to it by the mayor and city

council of Baltimore, and shall have the right to construct

and operate its road through and on any of the streets of
