CHAPTER 457.
|

|
|

AN ACT to regulate the deposit of money in the hands of
|
|
|
|
|
public officers of Kent County, in the national banks at
|
|
|
|
|
Chestertown.
|
|
|
|
|
SECTION I. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
|
|
|
|
|
Maryland, That all public officers of Kent County, includ-
|

ing the county treasurer, clerk of the Circuit Court, Reg-

ister of Wills, sheriff, board of county school commissioners,

and the treasurer thereof, shall each from time to time deposit

moneys.

and keep equally in the national banks at Chestertown all

the money received by them respectively, in their official
|
|
|
|
|
capacity, or remaining on hand and undistributed, so that
|
|
|
|
|
the liability therefor shall at all times be equally distributed
|
|
|
|
|
between said banks.
|
|
|
|
|
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That all acts or parts of acts
|

|
inconsistent with the provisions of this act be and the same
|
|
|
|
|
are hereby repealed.
|
|
|
|
|
SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect

AN ACT to prohibit the issuing of any license for the sale

|
|
|
of spirituous or fermented liquors or lager beer at or
|
|
|
|
|
within one-half mile of " Narrows Park" as now enclosed.
|
|
|
|
|
the terminus of the Cumberland Electric Railway, located
|
|
|
|
|
on the line of the National Turnpike road, about two
|
|
|
|
|
miles west of the city of Cumberland, in Allegany County ;
|
|
|
|
|
and to prevent the sale of all kinds of intoxicating drinks
|
|
|
|
|
in the above described limits.
|
|
|
|
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
|
|
|
|
|
Maryland, That it shall not be lawful for the clerk of the
|
|
|
|
|
Circuit Court for Allegany County to issue license to any
|
