SEC. 189. And be it enacted, That it shall be the duty of

any contract, and shall furnish no team for any work (unless

sioners) ; and when the construction and repair of roads shall

tract, the supervisor shall employ the necessary labor and


teams to do the work required, and shall dispose of the same


in such manner as will be most economical and best for the


public benefit, and all bills for contracts, and for labor


and material supplied in the roads, shall be sworn to and


approved by the supervisor before payment by the County

SEC. 190. And be it enacted, That each road supervisor

visions of his district ; and he shall keep an account of all


work and other transactions pertaining to the roads of his


district, showing the kind and quality of work done on each


section of road, by whom the work was done, and the cost


of the same, which shall be returned monthly to the County

SEC. 191. And be it enacted, That any supervisor shall be
