CHAPTER 400.


AN ACT to provide for the re-division of the seventh ward,


of Baltimore City, into election precincts.


SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of

ward of

Maryland, That it shall be the duty of the board of police

commissioners immediately after the passage of this act, to

precincts

with as much regularity in form as possible, into nine


election precincts, to be numbered from one to nine inclusive,


each precinct to contain as nearly as practicable an equal


number of qualified voters ; the said board of police com-


missioners shall make known the boundaries of the precincts


by advertisement, in two daily newspapers published in


said city inserted in each paper on two successive days in


each week for four successive weeks next preceding the


commencement of the registration. The necessary expenses


incurred in the due execution of this act shall be paid by


the mayor and city council of Baltimore.


SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the first, second, third,
