CHAPTER 4.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments section
|
|
|
|
three of article twenty-one, of the Code of Public General
|
|
|
|
Laws, title conveyancing as enacted by chapter two hun-
|
|
|
|
dred and thirty -two of the acts of the General Assembly
|
|
|
|
of Maryland, passed at January session, eighteen hundred
|
|
|
|
and ninety.
|
|
|
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
|
|
|
|
Maryland, That section three of article twenty-one, of the
|
|
|
|
Code of Public General Laws, title conveyancing as enacted
|
|
|
|
by chapter two hundred and thirty-two of the acts of the
|
Repealed.
|
|
|
General Assembly of Maryland passed at January session
|
|
|
|
eighteen hundred and ninety, be and the same is hereby re-
|
|
|
|
pealed and re-enacted to read as follows :
|
|
|
|
3. If acknowledged within the State, but out of the
|
|
|
|
county or city wherein the real estate or any part of it lies,
|

the acknowledgment may be made before :
|
|
|
|
First. A Notary Public.
|
Notary
public.
|
|
|
Second. Any Judge of the Circuit Court for the circuit in
|
|
|
|
which the grantor may be, or any Judge of the Orphans'
|
Judges.
|
|
|
Court for the county in which the grantor may be.
|
|
|
|
Third. Any Judge of the Supreme Bench of Baltimore
|
Judges.
|
|
|
City or any Judge of the Orphans' Court of said city.
|
|
|
|
Fourth. Any Justice of the Peace for the county or city
|
|
|
|
where the grantor may be at the time of the acknowledg-
|

|
|
ment, the official character of the justice being certified to
|
|
|
|
by the clerk of the Circuit or Superior Court under liis
|
|
|
|
official seal.
|
|
|
|
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
|
