SEC. 18. Be it enacted, That the bailiff shall attend the

SEC. 19. Be it enacted, That the bailiff shall have the

taxes as are allowed county collectors ; and for making

arrests or serving process for violation of any ordinance of

the corporation, the same fees as are allowed constables for

similar service ; and when the bailiff willfully fails to dis-
|
|
|

charge any duty of his office, he may, in addition to the
|
|
|
|
remedy on his bond, be fined by the commissioners in their
|
|
|
|
discretion not exceeding ten dollars for any one offence for
|
|
|
|
the payment of which said fine his bond shall be responsible.

|
SEC. 20. Be it enacted, That the commissioners shall not
|
|
|

expend nor contract to expend in any one year more money

than the amount receivable from taxes and other sources

for that year.

SEC. 21. And be it enacted, That the commissioners for

SEC. 22. And be it enacted, That the clerk and chief
