dered, the amount of fine or penalty imposed, the amount of


costs taxed and the amount of fine, penalty and costs col-


lected by him ; and all such fines, penalties and costs includ-


ing constables' fees which the said justices are hereby


required to collect, shall at the time of his making said


report be paid to the order of said county commissioners ;


and said justices of the peace at the first meeting in every


month of the mayor, counselor and aldermen of the city of


Annapolis shall also make a similar report, as hereinbefore


provided of all cases tried before them for offences com-


mitted under the code of the city of. Annapolis, and shall


pay over to the order of said mayor, counselor and alder-


men all fines, penalties and forfeitures imposed and


collected by him for any violations of said city code, and


also all costs incurred in such cases and collected, including


constables' fees which the said justices are hereby required


to collect.


176. The justices of the peace of Anne Arundel County,


except the justices of the sixth district, shall be entitled to

before them the following fees to-wit : For issuing each State


writ, twenty -five cents; for summoning all the witnesses on


both sides in any case, fifty cents ; for each trial, one dollar ;


for every commitment, twenty-five cents ; for every release,


twenty-five cents ; for any recognizance in each case reported


to the Circuit Court, including witnesses, twenty -five cents;


the fees for services of the justices of the peace of the sixth


district of said county shall be the same as herein allowed


to justices in the other districts, but shall be taxed, collected


and accounted for by them as in preceding sections of this


act provided.


178 A. Each justice of the peace of the sixth district of


said county for his services in criminal cases shall receive

month, payable in cash or by levy equivalent to cash on the


day of his making his report as hereinbefore provided, and


shall not directly or indirectly charge or receive any other


fees or compensation for hearing of criminal cases, except

napolis for services rendered in cases for violation of the


code of said city.
