AN ACT to repeal and re-enact section eighty six of article
|
|
|
|
|
seventeen of the Code of Public Local Laws, entitled
|
|
|
|
|
"Prince George's County " sub-title " County Commis-
|
|
|
|
|
sioners " and to add one additional, section to be desig-
|
|
|
|
|
nated 86 A, 86 B, to read as follows :
|
|
|
|
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
|
|
|
|
|
Maryland, That the eighty-sixth section of article seventeen
|
|
|
|

of the Code of Public Local Laws of the State of Mary-

|
|
|
|
land, 'title "Prince George's County" subtitle "County
|
|
|
|
|
Commissioners " be and the same is hereby repealed and
|
|
|
|
|
re-enacted so as to read as follows, and that one additional
|
|
|
|
|
sections to said article seventeen to follow said section
|
|
|
|
|
eighty-six and to be numbered eighty-six A, eighty-six B
|
|
|
|
|
and the same are hereby added to said article seventeen.

|
|
|
86. The five County Commissioners for Prince George's
|
|
|
|
|
County, elected at the general election on the Tuesday next
|
|
|
|

after the first Monday in the month of November in the

year eighteen hundred and ninety-one, shall hold their

|

sioners

offices respectively as follows, two for the term of two years,
|
|
|
|
|
two for the term of four years and one for the term of
|
|
|
|
|
six years, the said respective terms to be determined as
|
|
|
|
|
follows ; that is to say five ballots shall be marked by the
|
|
|
|
|
clerk of the circuit court in the following manner two bal-
|
|
|
|
|
lots shall be marked "two years" two ballots shall be
|
|
|
|
|
marked four years, and one ballot shall be marked " six
|
|
|
|
|
years " and said ballots shall be uniform in size aud on
|
|
|
|
|
paper in every respect similar, and after having been so
|
|
|
|
|
marked shall be folded respectively alike and placed in a
|
|
|
|
|
box to be drawn therefrom ; after having "so folded and
|
|
|
|
|
placed in said box each member of said Board of County
|
|
|
|
|
Commissioners shall draw from said box one ballot and the
|
|
|
|
|
term of years written on such ballot shall determine the
|
|
|
|
|
