98 D. Upon said application and certificate being filed


with the clerk of the Circuit Court for Howard County, the

said clerk shall issue to such applicant a license for a period

license be for twelve months, and to sell spirituous and fer-


mented liquors and lager beer, the sum of three hundred

for such license, and all such licenses shall expire on the


first day of May succeeding the day on which they are
