CHAPTER 272.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments, section

three, of article thirty, of the Code of Public General

Laws of Maryland, entitled "Deaf, Dumb, and Blind,

Education of."

|
SECTON 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
|
|
|
|
Maryland, That section three, of article thirty of the Code
|
Repeal and
re-enact-
|
|
|
of Public General Laws of Maryland, title "Deaf, Dumb,
|
ment
|
|
|
and Blind, Education of," be aud the same is hereby repealed
|
|
|
|
and re-enacted, so as to read as follows.
|
|
|
|
3. A sum not exceeding twenty -one thousand dollars
|
|
|
|
shall be annually appropriated to be applied under the
|

directions of the Governor in placing for instructions in the
|
tion
|
|
|
Maryland School for the blind, formerly known as the Mary-
|
|
|
|
land Institution for the instruction of the blind, such indi-
|
|
|
|
gent blind persons of the age of seven years and upwards,
|
|
|
|
inhabitants of this State, and of the county or city from
|
|
|
|
which they are recommended, as may be recommended to
|
|
|
|
the Governor by the county commissioners of each county
|
|
|
|
or by the judges of the Orphans' Court of Baltimore City.
|
|
|
|
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect

CHAPTER 273.
AN ACT to amend article twenty-seven of the Code of
Public General Laws, title "Crimes and Punishments,"
sub title " Convicts," adding thereto six sections to come in
alter section 424 to be designated, sections 424 A, 424 B,
424 C, 424 D, 424 E and 424 F, relating to the identifi-
cation of habitual criminals.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
