the husband, and not in any way be liable for the payment

thereof ; provided that no acquisition of property passing

if the same has been made or granted to her in prejudice of

the rights of his subsisting creditors, who however must

assert their claims within three years after the acquisition

of the property by the wife or be absolutely barred, and for
|
|
|
|
the purpose of asserting their lights under this section,
|
|
|
|
claims of creditors of the husband not yet due and matured
|
|
|
|
shall be considered as due and matured.
|

|
|
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this act shall
|
|
|
|
take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 268.
|
|

AN ACT to repeal section seven of article ninety-five of the
|
|
|
|
Code of Public General Laws title " Treasurer," relating
|
|
|
|
to the employment and salary of clerks in his office and
|
|
|
|
to re-enact the same with amendments.
|
|
|
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
|
|
|
|
Maryland, That section seven of article ninety-five of the
|
|
|
|
Code of Public General Laws of Maryland, title "Treasurer,"
|
Repealed
|
|
|
be and the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted with
|
and
re-enacted.
|
|
|
amendments so as to read as follows :
|
|
|
|
7. The treasurer of Maryland shall appoint three clerks
|
|
|
|
to assist in the discharge of his duties, one of whom shall
|
Clerks.
|
|
|
receive an annual salary of eighteen hundred dollars and the
|
|
|
|
other two of whom shall each receive an annual sum of
|
|
|
|
twelve hundred dollars.
|
|
|
|
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect

CHAPTER 270.
AN ACT to authorize the clerk of the Circuit Court for
Wicomico County to have made suitable cases for the
books and papers in his office and empowering the County
Commissioners of Wicomico County to pay for same.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
