CHAPTER 258.

AN ACT to sanction and make valid a bequest of Nancy

Camel, late of Washington County deceased, to Manor

Church of the Tuuker denomination, and also a bequest

from said Nancy Carnel to the Methodist Episcopal

Church situated in the town of Sharpsburg, Washington

County, Maryland.

WHEREAS, Nancy Camel, late of Washington County

deceased, did by her last will and testament, duly probated

and recorded in the office of the Register of Wills of said

county, bequeath to the "Manor Church," of Washington

County, of the Tunker denomination the sum of fifty dol-

lars, and to the Methodist Episcopal Church situated in

Sharpsburg of said county the sum of twenty dollars ;

therefore,

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of

Sanction

Maryland, That the bequest of fifty dollars made to " Manor

Bequests

Church," of Washington County of the Tanker denomina-

tion, and the bequest of twenty dollars to the Methodist

Episcopal Church situated in the town of Sharpsburg

Washington County made by the last will and testament

of Nancy Carnel late of Washington County deceased, be,

and the same are hereby sanctioned, confirmed and made

valid ; and the directors or trustees of said respective

churches are hereby authorized and empowered to take and

receive the said respective sums and hold or use the same

subject to the provisions of said last will and testament.

Effective

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect

from the date of its passage.
