CHAPTER 230.


AN ACT to make valid the corporate name of the "United


Sons of Towsontown Lodge, Number Seventeen Hundred


and Seventy-Three, of the Grand United Order of Odd


Fellows," which might otherwise be deemed defective.


WHEREAS, on the fifteenth day of June, eighteen hun-


dred and eighty-one, Henry Hill, Charles Preston, Alex-

Preamble.

ander Williams, Benjamin Johnson, Jr., Charles Sheridan


and Albert H. Wilson, citizens of the United States and


residents of Towsontown, Baltimore County, Maryland, did


certify as required by the General Laws of this State that


they formed a corporation under the name of the " United


Sons of Towsontown Lodge, Number Seventeen Hundred and


Seventy-Three, of the Grand United Order of Odd Fellows,"


which said certificate of incorporation was on the day afore-


said duly executed, and by the persons executing the same


submitted to one of the judges of the Judicial Circuit in


which the principal office of said corporation was under


said certificate to be located, who duly certified his deter-


mination that the same was in conformity with the law.


AND WHEREAS, the said certificate was duly recorded in


the office of the clerk of the Circuit Court for Baltimore

Preamble.

County in which the principal office of said corporation is


by the terms of said certificate located,


AND WHEREAS, the said corporate name of the said cor-


poration, to wit : " The United Sous of Towsontown Lodge,

Preamble.

Number Seventeen Hundred and Seventy -Three,of the Grand


United Order of Odd Fellows," does not include the name


of the county in which it was formed for which reason it


may be deemed defective ; therefore,


SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of


Maryland, That " The United Sons of Towsontown Lodge

Incorpora-
