LAWS OF MARYLAND.

after the first Monday in November in the year eighteen


hundred and ninety-one shall hold their office for two years


from the time of their election, or until their successors


qualify, and shall receive the same compensation as is now


provided by law.

CHAPTER 225.


AN ACT to provide for the indexing of the Senate journals,


the bound volumes of the Senate printed bills, and Senate


documents in the office of the secretary of the Senate.


SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of

the journal, after the close of the present session ; and he


shall also provide an index to the volume of Senate Printed


Bills that are bound and placed in the State Library at the


close of the session, and to any Senate documents that may


be printed and bound in book form.


SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That it shall be the duty of the

among the legislative expenses for the next ensuing session


to pay the secretary of the Senate for indexing the journal,


the volume of printed bills and bound documents of the


Senate ; to be paid to said secretary upon the certificate of


the president of the Senate that a proper and complete in-


dex has been made to the books herein specified.


SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
