re-enact-

and re-enacted so as to read as follows :


SEC. 31. There shall be three county commissioners for


Baltimore County, who shall hold office for the term of six


years ; except as hereinafter provided ; and of the three

Magruder and August Weiss, shall each hold for the term


of four years ; and at the general election to be held next

commissioners, there shall be elected two county commis-


sioners, one to liold office for the term of four years, and one


for the term of six years; and thereafter there shall be


elected one new commissioner every two years ; and any per-


son elected to the office of county commissioner, shall be


ineligible for two successive terms. They shall each receive


an annual salary of one thousand dollars exclusive of mileage,

payable monthly by the treasurer of said county ; and they


are required to meet for the transaction of public business


at their office at Towson on Tuesdays and Wednesdays of


each week, and daily from the first Tuesday in March in


each year, until the annual levy is made.


SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
