Repeal and
re-enact-
|

'' County Commissioners," be and the same is hereby repealed
|
ment
|
|
|
and re-enacted so as to read as follows :
|
|
|
|
SEC. 31. There shall be three county commissioners for
|
|
|
|
Baltimore County, who shall hold office for the term of six
|
|
|
|
years ; except as hereinafter provided ; and of the three
|
County
commis-
|
|
|
county commissioners elected to office in the year eighteen
|
sioners —
|
|
|
hundred and ninety-one, one, to-wit James Rittenhouse shall
|
terms of
|
|
|
hold office for the term of six years ; and two, to-wit Robert
|
|
|
|
Magruder and August Weiss, shall each hold for the term
|
|
|
|
of four years ; and at the general election to be held next
|
|
|
|
preceding the end of the term of said two last mentioned
|
|
|
|
commissioners, there shall be elected two county commis-
|
|
|
|
sioners, one to liold office for the term of four years, and one
|
|
|
|
for the term of six years; and thereafter there shall be
|
|
|
|
elected one new commissioner every two years ; and any per-
|
|
|
|
son elected to the office of county commissioner, shall be
|
|
|
|
ineligible for two successive terms. They shall each receive
|
|
|
|
an annual salary of one thousand dollars exclusive of mileage,
|

payable monthly by the treasurer of said county ; and they
|
|
|
|
are required to meet for the transaction of public business
|
|
|
|
at their office at Towson on Tuesdays and Wednesdays of
|
|
|
|
each week, and daily from the first Tuesday in March in
|
|
|
|
each year, until the annual levy is made.
|
|
|
|
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
|

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments new sec-

tion one hundred and forty-five of article thirty-three of

|

the Code of Public General Laws of Maryland, title

"Elections," as enacted by the act of eighteen hundred
|
|
|
|
and ninety, chapter five hundred and thirty-eight.

|
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
|
|
|
|
Maryland, That new section one hundred and forty-five of
|

article thirty-three of the Code of Public General Laws of
|
re-enact-
|
|
|
Maryland, title "Elections," as enacted by the act of
|
ment
|
|
|
eighteen ninety, chapter 538, be and the same is hereby re-
|
|
|
|
pealed and re-enacted, so as to read as follows :
|
|
|
|
145. The board of supervisors of elections shall not more
|
|
|
|
than three nor less than one day preceding the election de-
|
|
|
|
liver to the board of police of the city of Baltimore all the
|
|
|
|
