CHAPTER 200.




AN ACT to authorize the mayor and city council of Balti-


more to provide conduits, and to require all telegraph,


telephone, electric light or other wires to be removed


from the streets, lanes and alleys of said city, and placed


in said conduits, and prescribe rentals for the use thereof,


and to authorize the appointment of an electrical com-


mission of said city.


SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of


Maryland, provided however, that nothing contained in

ration, upon such terms as may be agreed upon, and to pro-


vide for the appointment of an electrical commission with


such powers and duties as the said mayor and city council


may deem necessary or appropriate for carrying out the


purposes of this act ; and to require all such wires, or any


part or parts thereof, and the poles carrying the same, to


be removed from the surface of the streets, lanes and alleys


of said city, or auy part or parts thereof, and to require


such wires to be placed in such conduits, all under such


penalty as they may prescribe ; and to prescribe and
