AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments section

123 of article 22 of the Code of Public Local Laws, title

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
|
|
|
re-enact-
|
Maryland, That section 123 of article 22 of the Code of Pub-
|
|
|
ment
|
lic Local Laws, title "Washington County," sub -title
|
|
|
|
"Election Districts," be and the same is hereby repealed
|
|
|
|
and re-enacted with amendments so as to read as follows :
|
|
|
|
123. The county commissioners shall have the power and
|
|
|
|
authority to create new election districts, in addition to
|
|
|

those already established, whenever in their judgment the
|

election
districts
|
convenience of the voters of the county, or any part thereof,
|
|
|
|
will thereby be promoted: and shall also have power to
|
|
|
|
abridge or enlarge any district heretofore etablished by the
|
|
|
|
Legislature or which may hereafter be established by said
|
|
|
|
commissioners ; and shall have the further power to designate
|
|
|
|
the places of holding the election polls in all election dis-
|
|
|

tricts; provided, however, that the voting or polling place
|
|
|
|
in Ringold district (known as the fourteenth district) shall
|
|
|
|
be held only at Ringold in every year in which a general or
|
|
|
|
special election shall be held.
|
|
|
|
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
|
|
