CHAPTER 161.


AN ACT to incorporate the Young Men's Republican Club


of Cumberland, Maryland.


SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of


Maryland, That Charles H. Holtzman, Samuel C. Choate,


Richard J. Bruce, William P. Rigen, Dory A. Smith, Enald

Graeffe and all such other persons as they may associate


with them and their successors be and they are hereby


created a body corporate by the name and style of the.


Young Men's Republican Club of Cumberland, Maryland,


and by that name shall have perpetual succession and may


sue and be sued in any court Avhatever, and may adopt a


constitution, ordain and establish such by-laws, rules and


regulations as may be necessary and proper, not contrary to


law and not inconsistent herewith, and the same may


change, alter or amend ; and may have and use a common


seal and generally may do any act or thing necessary to


carry into effect the provisions of this act and promote the


welfare and design of the corporation.


SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the said corporation shall


have the power to receive subscriptions, donations, devises
and bequests of money or real or personal property in trust

poration not to exceed the sum of fifteen thousand dollars.


SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That the members of this cor-


poration shall annually, on the first Monday of December,

and not less than nine directors, who together shall com-


pose the board of governors and shall have the general


management of the affairs of the corporation.


SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
