CHAPTER 158.


AN ACT to amend the charter of the Hagerstown and


State Line Railroad Company.


SECTION, Be it enacted by the General Assembly of

Charter
amended.

Maryland, That the charter of the Hagerstown and State


Line Railroad Company, a body corporate under the Act


of the General Assembly of Maryland of 1876, chapter 242,


be and the same is hereby amended so as to permit the said


railroad company to construct its line from a point upon the


line of the Western Maryland Railroad at or near Hagers-


town in Washington County to any point upon the line be-


tween the States of Maryland and Pennsylvania not more


than eight miles from the city of Hagerstown in Washing-


ton County.

Effective

SEC. 2 And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect


from the date of its passage.


Approved March 18th, 1892.


CHAPTER 159.


AN ACT to provide for the appointment of arbitrators to


ascertain and fix the true boundary between the State of


Maryland and West Virginia, and to authorize the


attorney-general to dismiss the suit now pending in the


Supreme Court of the United States, instituted by the


State of Maryland against the State of West Virginia


upon the acceptance by said State of the mode of set-


tlement of the dispute as to said boundary provided by


this act.


WHEREAS, there has existed for many years a dispute or
