LAWS OF MARYLAND.


SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of


Maryland, That Joshua Levering, Dr. James Carey Thomas,


John V. L. Graham, J. Wilson Cole, Dr. P. C. Williams,

George W. Corner, Jr., Gustavus Ober, Charles J. Taylor,


W. H. G. Belt, L. H. Nice, L. S. Appold, Blisha H.


Perkins, A. Morris Garey and Francis A. White, they con-


stituting the present officers and Board of Directors of the


Young Men's Christian Association of Baltimore, together


with their associates admitted into membership in said Asso-


ciation and their successors be and they are hereby consti-


tuted and continued a body corporate under the name of


"The Young Men's Christian Association of Baltimore"


and under such name shall have perpetual succession,

be capable to sue and be sued, to make and use a common


seal, to adopt a constitution for the regulation and manage-


ment of all its affairs, not inconsistent with law, and the


same to change, alter and amend from time to time, to


adopt rules and terms of admission into membership and


generally to do and perform all matters and things required


to carry into effect the objects of the association.


SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the objects of this cor-


poration shall be the improvement of the spiritual, physical,


mental, moral and social condition of young men by the

resignation or otherwise, shall be filled in accordance with
