school.


SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of


Maryland, That Samuel H. Tagart, William A. Stewart,


David L. Bartlett, German H. Hunt, William Keyser, Enoch


G. Hipsley, Julian Le Roy White, and their successors be


and they are hereby declared to be a body corporate, by the

and by that name, they and their successors, to be elected
and appointed as hereinafter directed, shall and may, at all

times hereafter be capable in law, to have, receive and re-

sonal, and also to receive gifts, devises and bequests of any


person or persons, bodies corporate and politic, capable of


making the same, for the purpose of advancing the cause of


education, founding chairs and scholarships and advancing


mechanical and general knowledge, in the modes pointed


out by the donors or testators, and invest the same and at


their pleasure, to transfer and dispose of the same in such


manner as they may think proper.


SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the number of trustees of


the McDouough school shall not be less than seven nor more
