gate the tolls now authorized to be charged by their original


act of incorporation.


SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That before the said Hagers-


town and Sharpsburg Turnpike Company shall have the


right to erect said toll gate, and charge the tolls as authorized

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of


Maryland, That section fifty-one of article twenty-seven of

niture, property or effects therein or thereon being found, or


any property or effects deposited or kept in, or upon any


vessel or yard, or with the intent to slay, kill, maim or tar


and feather any person being in, or upon any of the premi-


ses aforesaid, upon conviction thereof shall, in the discre-


tion of the court be sentenced to the penitentiary of this
