CHAPTER 89.
|

AN ACT to appropriate two hundred dollars, or so much
|
|
|
|
thereof as may be necessary, to repair and put in good
|
|
|
|
condition the State hay and cattle scales at Havre-de-
|
|
|
|
Grace.
|
|
|
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
|
|
|
|
Maryland, That the sum of two hundred dollars be and the
|
|
|
|
same is hereby appropriated, or so much thereof as may be
necessary to repair and put in good condition the State hay
|

and cattle scales at Havre-de-Grace, the same to be drawn
|
|
|
|
and expended by the commissioners named in the act of
|
|
|
|
1878, chapter two hundred and sixty-two, who shall return
|
|
|

the vouchers therefor to the Treasurer of Maryland ; and
|
|
|
|
the Comptroller is hereby directed to draw his warrant upon
|
|
|
|
the said treasurer for said sum accordingly.
|
|
|
|
SEC. 2. Be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
|

CHAPTER 90.
|
|
|
|
AN ACT to repeal section 657 of article 4 of the Public
|
|
|
|
Local Laws, title "City of Baltimore," sub-title " License,"
|
|
|
|
and to re-enact the same with amendments.
|
|
|
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
|
|
|
|
Maryland, That 657 of article 4 of the Public Local Laws,
|
|
|
|
title "City of Baltimore," sub-title, "License," be and the
|

same is hereby repealed and re-enacted, so as to read as
|
ment.
|
|
|

|

|
|
657. The mayor of Baltimore may grant permits, upon
|
|
|
|
payment of the sum of seven dollars ($7) to the city comp-
|
|
|
|
troller, to such number of poor persons as to him may seem
|

proper, to peddle within the limits of Baltimore City,
notions and small wares, without a license, provided, that
|
permits
to peddle.

|
the stock in trade of any such peddler shall not exceed

|

$25.00 in value, and provided, that said mayor at any time

may revoke any such permit.
|
|
|
|
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this act shall
|
|
|
|
take effect from the date of its passage.
