CHAPTER 71.


AN ACT to appropriate a sum of money to pay the claim of


the Commissioners of Charities and Corrections for Fred-


erick County for the support of five insane convicts at


Montevue Hospital for the years 1890 and 1891.


SECTION. 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of


Maryland, That the Comptroller of the Treasury be and he


is hereby authorized to issue his warrant upon the Treasurer


of the State for the sum of seven hundred and fifty -three


dollars and forty-five cents, payable out of the funds in the


treasury not otherwise appropriated, in favor of the Com-


missioners of Charities and Correction for Frederick County,


to pay the claim of the said Commissioners of Charities and

the years 1890 and 1891, said convicts having been com-


mitted to said Montevue Hospital by the Criminal Court of


Baltimore City in conformity with an act of Assembly,


passed at the January session of 1890, chapter 123 ; and the


said treasurer is hereby authorized and directed to pay said


sum of money, said claim having been duly approved by


said treasury officials according to section fifty-two of article


three of the constitution.


SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect

from the date of its passage.

AN ACT to incorporate the Tabb & Jenkins Hardware


Company of Baltimore City.


SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of


Maryland, That William H. Berrey, William C. Dimmock,


Charles Taylor Jenkins. William M. Locke, Martin Lane,


J. Lloyd Tabb, J. Prosser Tabb and John A. Wight, and


their associates and successors and all such other persons as


shall hereafter become stockholders in the company hereby


incorporated shall be, and they are hereby constituted a

Tabb & Jenkins Hardware Company of Baltimore City, and


by that name shall have perpetual succession and be capable


in law to acquire and hold and in any wise dispose of prop-
