CHAPTER 112.


AN ACT to prohibit reckless shooting along the public roads of


Dorchester county.


SECTION 1. Be it enacted ty the General Assembly of Maryland,


That any person or persons who shall recklessly, wantonly, or for


mere amusement, shoot any pistol, shot-gun or other fire-arm

along any public road or highway, or on the streets of any town
or Tillage in Dorchester county, thereby causing injury to person,
stock or vehicle, or to the annoyance, worry or disturbance of any
person or persons, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon


conviction thereof before a justice of the peace, shall at the dis-


cretion of the said justice of the peace, be subject to a fine of not


less than five dollars and costs for each offense, the fine to be


doubled in every instance if the offense be committed in the


night or on Sunday, the offender to be committed to the county


jail until such fines and costs are paid, or until discharged by


due process of law.


SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That the provisions of sec-


tion one of this act are not intended to apply to any sportsmen

engaged in shooting game of any kind where it is now lawful to


shoot game in Dorchester county, unless the shooting results in


injury to person, stock or vehicle.

Effective,

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect from


the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 113.


AN ACT to repeal section two, of the acts of eighteen hundred


and eighty-eight, chapter ninety-six, relating to public roads


in Somerset county, and to re-enact the same so as to read as


follows :


SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,


That section two, of the acts of eighteen hundred and eighty-

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the county commissioners of
