Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, in relation to the
|
|
|
|
hospital ship placed in the waters of this State, for the benefit of
|
|
|
|
disabled boatmen.
|
|
|
|
WHEREAS, the superintendent of the revenue service of the United
States has caused a hospital ship to be placed at the mouth of
|

|
|
the Patuxent river, in this State, for the care and use of sick or
|
|
|
|
disabled boatmen; and
|
|
|
|
WHEREAS, said hospital has been of great benefit to a class of
|

|
|
|
citizens who are needy, and often unable to help themselves ;
|
|
|
|
therefore,
|
|
|
|
Be it resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That the
|
|
|
|
thanks of this State be and they are hereby tendered to the de-
|

partment of revenue of the United States for their kind and hu-

|
|
mane action in the premises.
|
|
|
|
Be it further resolved, That the governor of this State be and

|
|
|
he is hereby requested to transmit a copy of these resolutions to
the superintendent of the revenue service of the United States.
