J. Bennett, partners, trading as Taylor and Bennett, the sum of


twenty-three dollars and seventy cents, and Thomas H. C. Mor-


gan, the sum of twenty-seven dollars and sixty-five cents for


double licenses paid into the treasury of Maryland.


WHEREAS, It appears from the license book of the clerk of the


circuit court for Wicomico county, that Zachariah W. Taylor did,


on the fifth day of July, eighteen hundred and eighty-seven, take


out an "Oyster house license," under the law regulating the sale


of spirituous and fermented liquors for the period of one year,


under the act of the General Assembly of Maryland, session of


eighteen hundred and eighty-six, chapter five hundred and seven,


and the circuit court of Wicomico county, at the March term


eighteen hundred and eighty-eight, decided under the local laws


regulating the sale of liquors in Wicomico county, chapter two


hundred and seventy, section three, laws of eighteen hundred and


eighty-four, that all licenses for the sale of liquors in Wicomico


county, shall terminate on the first day of May of each and every


year; and which said Zachariah W. Taylor paid into the State


treasury a double license for the space of two months and five


days, at the rate of four dollars and sixteen and two-third cents


per month, to wit : from the first day of May to the fifth day of


July, eighteen hundred and eighty-eight; it further appears that


under said decision, Wesley Olarkson paid into the treasury of the


State of Maryland a double license for the space of two months

and nineteen days, at the rate of four dollars and sixteen and two-


third cents per month, to wit: from May the first, eighteen hun-


dred and eighty-eight, to July nineteenth, eighteen hundred and

eighty-eight; it further appears that Nathaniel Baker, jr., under

said decision paid into the treasury of the State of Maryland a

double license for the space of two months and seventeen days,

at the rate of four dollars and sixteen and two-third cents per

month, from June the first, eighteen hundred and eighty-eight.

to August seventeenth, eighteen hundred and eighty-eight; in

further appears that under said decision, L. Samuel Perdue paid

into the treasury of the State of Maryland a double license for

the space of six months at the rate of four dollars and sixteen

and two-third cents per month, from May first, eighteen hundred

and eighty-eight to November first, eighteen hundred and eighty-

eight; it further appears that under said decision, Matthias Tay-

lor and William J. Bennett, trading as Taylor and Bennett, paid

into the treasury of the State of Maryland a double license for the

space of six months and twenty-five days, at the rate of four dol-

lars and sixteen and two-third cents per month, from May first to

November twenty-fifth, eighteen hundred and eighty-eight; it

further appears that under said decision, Thomas H. C. Morgan

paid into the treasury of the State of Maryland a double license

for the space of seven months and seventeen days, at the rate of
