SEC. 2. Be it enacted, That this act shall take effect from the


date of its passage.

CHAPTER 516.


AN ACT to repeal section one hundred and eighty-five, of article


ten, of the Code of Public Local Laws, title "Dorchester county,


sub-title "Fish," as the same was repealed and re-enacted by the


act of eighteen hundred and ninety, chapter fifty-nine, and to


re-enact the same with amendments and to add an additional


section thereto to be designated "Section one hundred and


eighty-five A."


SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,

Repeal.

That section one hundred and eighty-five, of article ten, of the


Code of Public Local Laws, title "Dorchester county," sub-title


"Fish," as the same was repealed and re-enacted by the act of


eighteen hundred and ninety, chapter fifty-nine, be and the same


is hereby repealed and re-enacted so as to read as follows :


SEC. 185. It shall be unlawful for any person to use patent


twine weirs, pound-nets, fykes, stick-weirs, or hauling seines of


greater length than three hundred and fifty feet for taking or


catching fish, terrapins or crabs in the following waters of Dor-


chester county: all of that part of Fishing bay north of a line

from Roasting ear point to the upper side of Duck island cove,

waters

or any of the tributaries of Honga river, Black water river, or its


tributaries, Transquakin river, or its tributaries, except the tribu-


tary known as "Chicamacomico river," Little Choptank and its


tributaries; provided, that the provisions of the sub-title of this


article shall not apply to that portion of this Little Choptank


river and the tributaries thereof lying south of a line drawn from
