JUDICIARY.


For the salaries of the chief judges of the first seven judicial


circuits, three thousand five hundred dollars each, twenty-four


thousand five hundred dollars; for the salaries of the fourteen


associate judges of the first seven judicial circuits, two thousand


and eight hundred dollars each, thirty-nine thousand two hun-


dred dollars; for the salaries of the judge of the court of appeals


from Baltimore city, and of the chief judge and five associate

five hundred dollars each, twenty-four thousand five hundred dol-


lars; for the salary of the attorney-general, three thousand dol-


lars; for commissions to attorneys, on claims of the State placed

one thousand dollars; for the salary of the State reporter, one


thousand dollars.


MILITIA.


For the support of the militia of the State, to be expended


under the supervision of the governor, forty thousand dollars, or


so much thereof as may be necessary, eight thousand dollars of


which to be immediately available; for the salary of the adjutant-

expenses of his office, two hundred and fifty dollars, or so much


thereof as may be necessary, to be paid out of the appropriation


for the support of the militia, and the balance of said appropria-

of Baltimore.


PENSIONS.


For the payment of pensions granted by the various acts and


resolutions of the general assembly to Mrs. Sarah Ann Watson,


Mrs. Julia A. Dorsey and William Brown, during their natural


lives, in accordance with the provisions of resolution sixty-three,

of eighteen hundred and forty-nine, chapter two hundred and


twenty-eight, of eighteen hundred and severity-four, and chapter


two hundred and sixty-nine, of eighteen hundred and seventy,


five hundred and twenty dollars.


SCHOOLS.


For the system of free public schools (white and colored,) in


the several counties and the city of Baltimore, and for the State


normal school and the State board of education, to be apportioned


by the comptroller in accordance with the laws in such case made


and provided and the directions herein given, five hundred and


twenty-five thousand dollars, or whatsoever sum may be paid into
