CHAPTEE 470.


AN ACT to make punishable a minor or persons under twenty-one-


years of age who shall obtain from another any spirituous or


fermented liquors by knowingly and wilfully misrepresenting;


his age.


SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,


That any person under the age of twenty-one years who knowingly


and wilfully makes any misrepresentation or false statement as to


his age, and by reason of such misrepresentation or false state-


ment obtains any spirituous or fermented liquors from any other

person licensed to sell such spirituous or fermented liquors under
the laws of this State, shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor

lar nor more than twenty dollars, or imprisoned in jail for not less

prisoned in the discretion of the court; provided, that the testi-

the laws of this State shall not be used against such minor in


prosecution under this act.
