CHAPTER 343.


AN ACT to add twenty new sections to article four, of the Code-


of Public Local Laws, title "City of Baltimore," sub-title


"Liquor and Intoxicating Drinks," regulating the sale of in-


toxicating liquors in the city of Baltimore, to come in after


section six hundred and fifty-three of said article, and to be


designated as "Sections six hundred and fifty-three A, six


hundred and fifty-three B, six hundred and fifty-three C, six


hundred and fifty-three D, six hundred and fifty-three E, six


hundred and fifty-three F, six hundi-ed and fifty-three G, six


hundred and fifty-three H, six hundred and fifty-three I, six


hundred and fifty-three J, six hundred and fifty-three K, six


hundred and fifty-three L, six hundred and fifty-three M, six


hundred and fifty-three N, six hundred and fifty-three O, six


hundred and fifty-three P, six hundred and fifty-three Q, sir


hundred and fifty-three R, six hundred and fifty-three S and


six hundred and fifty-three T, respectively."


SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,


That the twenty following sections be and they are hereby added


to article four, of the Code of Public Local Laws, title " City of


Baltimore," sub-title " Liquor and Intoxicating Drinks," regulat-


ing the sale of intoxicating liquors in the city of Baltimore, to-


come in after section six hundred and fifty-three of said Article,


and to be designated as "Sections six hundred and fifty-three A, six


hundred and fifty-three B, six hundred and fifty-three C, six

hundred and fifty-three P, six hundred and fifty-three Q, six


hundred and fifty-three E, six hundred and fifty-three S and


six hundred and fifty-three T, respectively," of said article.


653 A. No person shall sell, offer for sale, or keep for sale, in


the city of Baltimore, any intoxicating liquors, except as herein-


after provided; but this shall not apply to sales made by a person


under a provision of law requiring him to sell personal property,

nor to sales of liquors by wholesale, nor to sales by the maker,


brewer or distiller thereof, not to be drunk on the premises


wherever the term "Intoxicating Liquors" is used in this act it


shall be deemed to include whiskey, brandy, mm, gin, wine, ale,


beer and all other fermented and distilled liquors, and every mix-
