any of the streets, lanes and alleys of said town, subject to such


regulations as may be provided in the ordinance granting said


right and privilege of laying down and constructing said track,


and building and grading said road along, over and through any


street, lane or alley of said town.


SEC. 373 D. The burgess and commissioners of Middletown


shall have power to tax or license dogs in the corporate limits of

Dogs.

AN ACT to incorporate the Maryland State teachers association.


SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,

lain, Edmond D. Murdough, Charlotte Newell, Flaria A. Welby,

constituting the association known as the "Maryland State .

by-laws of said association or to such rules, regulations, constitu-


tion or by-laws as may hereafter be adopted thereby, be and they


are hereby created a body politic and corporate by the name of


the Maryland State teachers association, and by that name shall


have perpetual succession, and be able and capable to sue and be


sued at law and equity, to have a common seal, and the same to


change, alter and renew at pleasure, and to do all acts necessary


and lawful for carrying into effect the objects and purposes of the


aforesaid association.


SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the corporation created by


this act shall have power to organize, manage and direct a State


teachers reading circle, and adopt therefor a course of study in


pedagogy, general literature, &c., and to grant to such members


as shall satisfactorily complete the first year's course of study,


and the second year's course of study, and the third year's course
